Mrs. So Eng Wong, passed away peacefully in the morning of November 12, 2022 in Vancouver B.C. She was 101 years old by traditional Chinese and lunar calculations.
So Eng was born in Guangzhou, China and lived there in her younger days. There she raised her 6 children Jiao Ling, Gui Xin, Gai Ling, Gui Chun, Gwen and Pauline. In 1983, she immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, where she helped in raising her grandchildren.
So Eng was predeceased by her daughter Gui Xin. She is survived by her 5 children, and her 38 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
So Eng enjoyed gardening and was often seen tending to and watering the plants in the garden. She liked to sew and knit. Some of her other favourite past times included spending time with her family, especially cooking and sharing meals.
Having been able to live to the age of 101 years old, her family is grateful to have enjoyed a long life with her.
