cousin of Sonja and her sister Norma. we met in the 1950's and didn't really know the others existed. so sorry to here of the passing of both of them, have been to their home when we were just children in Burnaby. I know there was another cousin Dorothy that we have lost track of. Janna and I now live in Keller Texas. lived in Everett Washington about half of my life.

Ron and I just heard of Sonja's passing today from Nancy.
We send our heartfelt sympathies to you and your family Ray, she was such a friendly, thoughtful and welcoming person who made you feel so welcome with her hugs and smiles.....she will be missed.

We are saddened to hear today that Sonja had passed away on May 4th, 2017.  She was a very "Lovely Lady" and a Great Friend to our Parents (Tom & Lorraine).  We would like to extend our Sincere Condolences to all of those who loved her.  We know there were toooo many to list. We will all miss her sweet smiling face and kind hearted words. Dear Mr. Fielding, Laurie, Ken and Families. It has been years since we have been together but there are so many happy memories. Most of them begin with Mrs. Fielding opening the cabin door and being so genuinely happy to see us. Our heartfelt sympathy is with you all. Sandy (Ward), Mark, Darren and Andrew

On May 4 heaven got a whole lot brighter......much to our sadness.  Mrs. Fielding/Sonja was always the cheery hello from across the babbling brook, the warm hug whenever she saw you, the smiling face and the one to share fresh baked muffins.  She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten and always in our hearts.  Our hearts go out to you Mr. Fielding/Ray, Laurie, Ken & families. We are deeply sadden by the loss of Sonja and can only imagine how difficult this time must be for Ray, Laurie, Ken and the whole Fielding family. She was truly a beautiful person who touched each of us in her own special way. A smiling, caring, loving soul we had the privilege of knowing. We find comfort that she is at peace and feel blessed to have had these special times with her.

Sonja and Ray have been our next door neighbors for the last several years. Our deepest sympathy to Ray and family. Sonja was so lovely and filled with warmth. Our little boy loved hearing her voice and going to see her for a visit. Sonja will be truly missed.

A very special longtime friend and special neighbour to all of us, both mt. shadow group, travelling to australia together. Laurie growing up from wonderland kindergarten to grad at north. Working for ray, Vicki. Just so many memories.

We have been neighbours with Ray and Sonja for 20 years. Sonja was the life of the neighourhood. If we were having a bad day, we could cross the creek and talk to Sonja and  soon, the laughter and smiles would return. Sonja made our world a happier place. We will forever miss her.

Our deepest sympathy to you, Ray, and all your family on the loss of Sonja.  We cannot tell you how much it meant to us to have been able to spend time with both of you in Hawaii this year.  We will cherish the memories, and we will miss her.

Words cannot express the sadness we feel in the loss of your wife, mother, grandmother and our dear friend Sonja.  We will never forget her wonderful outlook on life and the love and respect she had for her family and friends.  We will miss her very much.

There are no words sufficient to describe the sorrow we feel for you, Ray, and your family, as you make your way through this most difficult time in your lives. Hope the coming days will ease the pain somewhat remembering all the happy times and the wonderful, caring person Sonja was and she will remain so in our hearts.
