
Redgrave, Stephen Geoffrey – Born in Esquimalt, BC on November 30th, 1913 and raised at Work Point. Pre-deceased by his loving wife Evelyne in 2000 and his oldest daughter Lynne in 2010. Steve (to friends) and Geoff (to family and family friends) is survived by his daughter Bonnie (Sil) and 5 grandchildren, Karen, Michael, Michelle (Kelvin), Marlene (Mike) and Stephen (Michele). Growing up in the Victoria area, Steve met the love of his life Evelyne at an old time dance before the WWII. They were married in 1943 and enjoyed a lifetime of 57 wonderful years together. Life started in a small cabin at Alta Lake, BC then continued with careers that included the Victoria Police Force, a peacetime career in the R.C.A.F. and the final working years with B.C. Hydro Security. In 1957, Steve joined the Masonic Order in Ottawa and he spent the next 50 years enjoying the many functions and meetings associated with all his different lodges in B.C. and the U.S. After retiring in 1977, Steve and Evelyne enjoyed the next years travelling and cruising until health issues began to appear. After Evelyne’s passing in 2000, Steve lived a quiet life in South Surrey enjoying his music, books and scooter. The family wishes to thank all the wonderful, patient and caring staff at Westminster House in South Surrey who made his last years as comfortable as possible.
