Sze Wei Lee, a brilliant electrical engineer and deeply devoted family man, passed away on May 5, 2026, at the age of 91.

Sze Wei was born on September 30, 1934. Blessed with an analytical mind and an enduring curiosity about how the world worked, he dedicated his professional life to the field of electrical engineering.

Over a career spanning several decades, Sze Wei’s intellect and meticulous work ethic earned him positions at notable institutions. Most famously, he served with great distinction as a Senior Engineer for the Beijing Research Institute of Data. In this leadership role, his technical expertise helped build and shape early, foundational data systems, leaving behind a profound professional legacy.

While Sze Wei took great pride in his engineering achievements, his greatest joy was always his family. He was a pillar of strength, wisdom, and love for those closest to him.

Sze Wei is survived by his beloved family members who will carry his memory forward:
