

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Hayley, 2 daughters Karina and Michelle, son Steven, son-in-law Jeff, daughter-in-law Hue, grandson Raydan and dog Emmi. He will be missed by his 2 brothers and 2 sisters and numerous nephews and nieces.
Tony was born in Pun Yu, Guangdong, China. He emigrated to Hong Kong at the age 4 with his Grandma. He started working in the young age of 14 in restaurant kitchens of Hong Kong. He immigrated to Victoria, BC at age of 21. He shortly met Hayley and married and moved to Vancouver. He made a name for himself for as a chef over 38 years in numerous Chinese restaurants in lower mainland.
He had many hobbies. He loved collecting terracotta tea pots, drinking Chinese teas, growing orchids, collecting jade and stone pendants. In his retirement years, he liked travelling to East Asia, cooking for family gatherings and playing with his grandson Raydan.

A Funeral Service will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC on March 18, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
