It is with great sadness and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of Telesforo Gallano, known to many as Bob, on February 5th, 2020 at the age of 82 years. Bob was born in Leyte, Philippines in 1938. He is predeceased by his parents, Maximo Gallano and Maria Gallano (nee Loyola) and his siblings, Lourdes Gallano, Primitivo Gallano and Conostancia Cabradilla. He is survived by his wife, Conchita Gallano, his sisters, Vivencia Nonisa and Natividad Toroc and many nieces and nephews which he cared and loved for as his own. He also leaves behind many friends that he accumulated throughout his life. Bob immigrated to Canada in 1971 and married Conchita in 1976 in Prince Rupert where they lived for 24 years. Bob had a career working in the Pulp and Paper Mill in Prince Rupert and in 2000, he and his wife moved to the Lower Mainland and made Burnaby their new home. He spent much of his retired life hanging out in Metrotown with his barkadas (friends). He loved music and playing the guitar, and also enjoyed going fishing. Bob will be forever in our hearts and will be sadly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 19th at 10am Mass at St. Helen's Parish, 3680 Triumph St, Burnaby. 11:30am Reception at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Home, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby; then we will proceed to the Burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby at 1pm. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Conchita Gallano.
