Born in Grassano, Italy, Teresa immigrated to Canada on February 14, 1968, beginning a new chapter in her life. She built a loving family and devoted herself to raising her three children, Anna, Maria (Bruno), and Pasquale (Alicia).
Teresa was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took great pride in caring for and spending time with her family. She was blessed with three grandchildren, Fabio (Rebecca), Massimo, and Sandro (Naomi), and two great-grandchildren, Skye and Luca.
Teresa was a woman of deep faith and attended church faithfully. She also enjoyed going out and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her siblings, Rocco and Adriana, and was predeceased by her parents Maria Giovanna and Giuseppe, husband Vito and siblings, Nicola, Franscesco, Franscesco, Nicola, and Franceschina.
Teresa will be remembered for her devotion to family, deep faith, unconditional love, remarkable strength, and resilience. The family is grateful to the nurses, Dr. Fung, and Dr. Zhou at Burnaby General Hospital for their compassion and kindness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Parish, 1450 Delta Avenue, Burnaby on Wednesday, August 19, at 11:00 am.
