Survived by loving wife Louise; sons Joe (Iris) and Vince; grandchildren Aaron, Samantha, Carly, and Amanda; great-grandchildren Caydance, Elizabeth and Emily; and brothers, Frank (Arleen) and Fred (Elsie). He was predeceased by brother John. Known affectionately as “Grumpy” he was a long time member of ILWU and spent 47 years of his working life at the Vancouver Waterfront. Joe was also a proud Merchant Marine in his younger years. He enjoyed his retirement “feeding the horses” at the racetrack and counting his winnings. Graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, on Thursday, August 20th, 2015, at 12:30pm.
