Bill was born on November 15th, 1949, in Heshan, China. At the age of three, he and his family immigrated to Hong Kong, where he grew up and attended school. William immigrated to Canada as a young man, studying first at the University of Western Ontario, then qualifying as a Pharmacist at the University of British Columbia.
He began his career as a pharmacist in the Lower Mainland, a career that would span over 40 years, serving the community of Richmond for the majority of this time. He will be remembered as one of the pioneering Cantonese-speaking pharmacists in the community, for his dedication to his patients, and for training the next generation of pharmacists.
Bill is also remembered for his gentle and patient demeanour, his curiosity, and for upholding family values. He was a passionate gardener and loved nature all throughout his life. Those who were lucky enough to know him will remember his genuine warmth and generousity.
Bill is survived by his wife, Agnes, and son, Dennis.
A Funeral Service will be held at Ocean View Funeral Home & Burial Park, Burnaby, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Committal Service from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
