Wing Kwong Wong

When he was young, during the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong, he returned to his hometown with his parents, and settled in Hong Kong after the war.

He graduated from Hong Kong Chu Hai College in 1964, majoring in civil engineering, and worked for the Hong Kong Telephone Company for several years after graduation.

Mr. Wong moved to Canada in 1970 and returned to Hong Kong two years later to marry Ms.Leung Yee Ching. After marriage, he settled in Vancouver and worked as a draftman at the British Columbia Hydropower Bureau until his retirement.

David's life seems ordinary, but it is extraordinary. Let's talk about it:

Ordinary: He was with his wife for the whole life. Year after year, day after day, he took care of her meticulously until she passed away.

Extraordinary: He dedicated his life to his wife, parents, brothers, nephews and neices.

He is open-minded, diligent, self-improving and understanding.He respected the old and cared for the young. He has won the admiration and love of the families and friends. In his work, he performed well and was appreciated by his superiors. Together they traversed the mountains, inspected the environment, and delved into work.

We are proud of having this relative, and at the same time, we feel sad and reluctant for his passing. However, when we think that he has been free from pain and rested, it also gives us a little comfort.

黃榮光先生生平簡介(Eulogy):

黃榮光先生于公元1938年出生在香港,祖籍

廣東省 開平市 馬降龍鄉。2020年5月被診斷患

有肝癌,於2021年3月19日在溫哥華中央醫院離

世,享年82歲。

年幼時,在日本佔領香港期間,他曾隨父母返

回家鄉居住,戰爭結束後返回香港定居。

1964年畢業於香港珠海書院,主修土木工程系,畢

業后在香港電話公司工作數年。

1970年移民加拿大,兩年后回港與梁儀貞女士结

婚,定居溫哥華。任職BC省水電局畫則師至退休。

他一生看似平淡,但卻不平凡

~平淡:他與妻子撕守一生,年復年,日復日,一絲

不茍地關愛、照顧她,直至她離世。

~不平凡:他對妻子、父母兄弟、子姪貢獻一生。

為人豁達開朗、勤儉自持、自強不息,他待人誠

懇、富同理心、敬老護幼,深得鄉親鄰里讚賞和

愛戴。工作上,他表現卓越,得到上司賞識,並與

他一同攀山越嶺,實地考察環境、鑽研業務。

我們為有這個親人而感到驕傲, 同時,也為

他的離世感到難過和不捨, 然而想到他已脫離痛

苦,得到安息,也讓我們感到一點安慰。

Mr. Wong Wing Kwong, born on June 30, 1938 passed away peacefully on March 19, 2021 in Vancouver, British Columbia, at the age of 82 years. He will be dearly missed, lovingly remembered and forever cherished by all his loved ones.

因肝癌安詳逝世，享年 82 歲。我們永遠懷念這位 熱情開朗，和藹可親的摯愛親人。
