I am lucky to have shared a meal with Mr. Lau. He made the best baked eggs I have ever eaten.  Although he didn't say much, I could tell he was a kind and loving person and this is evident through his amazing children. My sincerest condolences to the  family.

Mr. Lau was a kind man who always took care of his family, this was evident in the many ways he cared for his children and wife. I'm deeply saddened by his passing. He was a great man. I feel honored to have known him. Sincerest condolences to his family.

Even though I only met Mr. Lau a few times, this tragic news deeply saddens me. My good friend has lost her father, her hero, and the man who taught her to be the amazing person that she is. Sending my condolences to the family. Rest in peace, Mr. Lau.

While I only saw Mr. Lau on the rare occasion I visited Sherlaine, he was a kind gentle soul who would say hello to me. He drove me home once or twice which I was always appreciative of, too. When his children needed him, he returned home. These actions are demonstrative of the ultimate protector of his family, an attribute that is true admirable in a father and a husband. I will always appreciate Uncle letting us come over, offering us food and being hospitable. 

My sincerest condolences to Mr. Lau's loved ones. May the loving, silliest and most fun moments with your father and husband resound in your memories forever. Rest in Peace, Uncle.

I can hardly believe Uncle Sam passed away.  I feel deeply sad for this tragedy.  His Spirit always lives among us.  May he restin peace.

I have never met Mr Lau but from what Sherlaine is like, I know you must be a wonderful person. I am so sorry about this heart-breaking news. Rest in peace, Mr Lau.

Mr. Lau is the father of my good friend, Sherlaine. My impression of Mr. Lau is that he was a loving and dedicated father and husband who cared deeply for his family. His admirable work ethic, sincerity, and passion is evident in all of his children. He was a good man and will be greatly missed.

There are those who can make others feel naturally comfortable and welcome when in their presence. Mr. Lau was one of the few that made me feel that way.

I am deeply sorry for the loss that his family is experiencing. I send my condolences to the Lau family. He was truly a great  man and father that raised three big-hearted and down to earth children with great values. I was at a loss of words when I heard the news and I still am. May he rest in peace.

Brother Sam is a caring man. He is more concerned with the needs and wishes of others than with his own.  I am so grateful to have a brother like him. The loving memory of him will always be in my heart...

Mr. Lau was one of the most sincere and down to earth person you can ever meet. From how I knew him, he was a man of few words, but the actions he made in his life told the story of who he was. He was a loving husband, caring father of three, and a friend to many. I am fortunate enough to say that I am considered a friend to him. When ever I visited his son Sherman, he was always there to greet me and welcome me in his home with open arms. The essence and atmosphere that he gave with his presence always allowed me to feel right at home. 

His kindness and generosity towards me has made me feel as if I was part of the Lau Family. One of my most fondest memories with Mr. Lau was during the graduation of his son and my friend, Sherman Lau. I came to the convocation and got to spend some quality time with him and his daughters during the ceremony. He made sure I had a seat and conversed with me before the convocation ended. Afterwards, he insisted on treating me and everyone who came to show their support to dinner. It was such a kind gesture and speaks volumes of his hospitality and kind-heart.

It truly saddened me when I heard the news of Mr. Lau's passing. I will miss him dearly and I'm so thankful to call him my friend. I would like to send my deep condolences to the Lau family for their tragic loss. May he rest in peace.

I met Mr. Lau not long after meeting his son, Sherman. Sherman and I quickly became good friends and it was the same with Mr. Lau. He happily offered his home and welcomed me in anytime I was nearby, never asked for anything in return and never closed his door to me. He allowed me to stay as long as I wanted, it didn't matter what day it was, even going as far as to have me over for delicious home cooked meals. He showed the same love to all of Sherman's friends, accepting us all as his extended family. 

Mr. Lau trusted me. I learned this from Sherman not too long after meeting him. "My dad trusts you," I was told and it made me happy inside. Not because now I could be Sherman's alibi to go out on school nights and all he had to say was, "Jason will be there." But because Mr. Lau, a warm, kindred spirit, acknowledged that I was a good person and had earned his trust. Mr. Lau, you'll never know how much I appreciate what you thought of me and I will do my best to uphold your trust and be there for your family. 

I met Mr. Lau almost 10 years ago, if not more. When I heard of his departure from this world, my heart broke because I had grown to love Mr. Lau as my own family. I send my most sincere condolences to the Lau family and will always be here for all of you.

Mr. Lau was a kind man. I remember meeting him for the first time and feeling nervous, but he warmly welcomed me into his home every single time. Whenever I came over, the house smelled of freshly baked bread and there would be a delicious new loaf on the counter of which I would immediately eye. Not only was he kind, he was also an amazing cook. There was one night where I went over to see Sherman when Mr. Lau generously invited me to stay for dinner. Although it was a last minute invitation, he still prepared a hearty meal and I went home that night with my stomach bursting (he makes the best chicken).

I was always awed by his energy and his ability to go on walks all over the neighborhood (something I don't have the energy to do myself every day). I remember running into him in random places and seeing him greet me with a smile without needing to catch his breath.
 
He put up with our antics over the years and despite all that, he always looked cheerful and happy to see us; for that, I cannot thank him enough. I send my condolences to the Lau family for the tremendous loss of a great man.
