

Wing Yan was born on July 14th, 1932 in Taishan, Guangdong, China. As a young man, he worked successfully as an Accountant Controller for a shipping company in the financial district of Hong Kong. Subsequently, he immigrated to Canada with his wife and his four children, where he dedicated his life to creating a solid foundation for his family.
Wing Yan was a man of intellect, wisdom, and great generosity. He immensely enjoyed reflecting on global politics, philosophies and core values - interests which highlighted his depth of thought and insight. His life testimony reflected his defining sense of righteousness, commitment to responsible and moral living, and perseverance in face of challenges. His stories and advice left lasting impressions which shaped and guided his children’s lives. After receiving Jesus into his life in his later years, Wing Yan’s unwavering devotion to caring for Mom throughout her years of illness was truly remarkable, meaningful and inspiring to our family.
Wing Yan was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Yim Ling Ma. He is survived by his children, David (Pearl), Winnie (Norm), Peter (Tara), and Annie (David); and his grandchildren, Madeline (Andy), Katelyn, Lauren, Elijah, Isabelle, Jane, and Ethan.
Dad, thank you for all your commitment and dedication to our family. Your love, guidance, and thoughtful planning with grounded honesty and integrity will always be a shining example to your children and grandchildren. We miss you with all our hearts always.
