Mrs. Winnie Yuet King Wong

Winnie Y.K. Wong was born in Hong Kong on February 23, 1948. Oldest of six siblings, she was introduced to John Sam Wong, who became her husband. In 1977, they moved to Canada to start anew life and had two children-Jimmy, followed by Cindy. A few grand fur babies later joined the family.

Her love for God was undeniable, with a relationship that remained strong even in challenging times. She enjoyed serving in various children's programs at her church-Awana, Sunday School and VBS.

Although battling lung cancer was difficult, Winnie never lost trust in her Heavenly Father. She knew she was surrounded by angels-her bff's and those she called her "sons and daughters. "On the evening of December 12, 2023, God led Winnie to her eternal home.

Winnie will be missed by many friends and family. She will always be remembered as selfless, independent, humble and a woman of strong faith. She has left a small piece of her in everyone's heart. A visitation for Winnie will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G3M1. All friends and family are welcome.

A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 3, 2024from 10:00AM to11:00AM for extended family only, immediately followed by graveside service.
