Yet Heing Jim

11 October, 1930 – 8 December, 2025
IN THE CARE OF

Ocean View Funeral Home & Burial Park

It is with profound sadness and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Yet Heing Jim (née Yee) of Richmond, BC, on December 8, 2025, at the age of 95.

She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, strength, and quiet generosity, and will be lovingly remembered by her son Bing, daughter-in-law Margaret; her grandchildren Anita, Christopher, and Desmond (with wife Amelia); and her great-grandchildren Madeleine, Mackenzie, and Mason. She will also be deeply missed by many relatives and friends whose lives were brightened by her presence. Heing was predeceased by her beloved husband, Yuen.

Born in 1930 in Sanhe Fengying Village, Taishan City, Guangdong Province, Heing was the youngest of four siblings and the treasured little sister to three older brothers. In 1953, she and her young son, Bing, bravely journeyed to St. John’s, Newfoundland, where they reunited with Yuen and began building a new life together. After Yuen’s passing, Heing moved to Vancouver in 1962, creating a warm and welcoming home for her family.

Heing was a devoted mother, grandmother & great grandmother whose kindness was felt by all who knew her. She never hesitated to help those she loved, offering support, comfort, and hospitality with open hands and an open heart.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 7:00–9:00 pm at Ocean View Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 10:00 am, also at Ocean View Funeral Home.

Following the burial, a luncheon will be held at 1:30 pm at Sun Sui Wah Seafood Restaurant (Main St., Vancouver). All family and friends are welcome; please contact the family if you wish to attend.

Heing’s life was defined by love, resilience, and generosity. Her gentle spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
