OBITUARY

Yin Wah (Ng) Chan

3 January, 1939 – 3 July, 2024
IN THE CARE OF

Ocean View Funeral Home & Burial Park

With her loving family and friends beside her, Yin Wah peacefully slipped from this world into the solace of Heaven to reunite with her late family. Yin Wah was born in Zhong Shan, Guanzhou Province, China on Jan 3, 1939.

She is survived by her sons Roger and Ken; daughter Susan and her husband George; grandchildren Matthew, Alistair and Grace.

The youngest in her family, she was preceded by her loving parents and all her siblings from mainland China.

In her youth, Yin Wah enjoyed working in accounting, and was involved in sports such as volleyball and swimming. On June 22, 1956, she married Anthony Chan and enjoyed 32 years of togetherness.

She will be remembered for her love and devotion to her children, the seemingly endless hours of toil she endured while her children grew up, and for the loyal friendships that she fostered over the years while working various jobs within the Chinese community. Her gentle disposition and genuine smile made her easy to love, and she was well loved in her tight circle of friends, who enjoyed dining out and socializing at fun gatherings.

Special thanks to Dr. Sandy Chan for his unending care and support of Mom and our family. In addition, our deep appreciation to the staff at Fair Haven for their care and support which made it comfortable for mom until the end. May her soul rest in peace.
