

He leaves his wife of 67 years, Kim Hung Cheung; his daughter Veronica; his son Edmund and his daughter Tracy and Husband Fritz; his son Ming and wife Cecilia and their Children Terry, Beatrice, and Emily; his daughter Cynthia and husband Jackson and their daughter Erica; his son Timothy, wife Eleanor and their children Elliott and Kristen.
Born in Ping Yuen, China, May 15, 1923, Ying Wah was a gentleman and a scholar: he went to boarding schools far from his remote rural village hometown. He was also interested in and studied classical Chinese text and was skilled in Chinese Calligraphy and was once a part time columnist for the local newspaper.
He took his family from China and escaped the Mainland Chinese conflicts to Hong Kong. He persevered through many hardships and strive to bring up his children properly by overcoming many difficult adversities. He settled in Vancouver BC, with many of his children and grandchildren since the early 1980's.
He was an accountant by trade and work for banks and other large corporations. He was a kind and caring father and always loved the outdoor and was an avid hiker.
The funeral service will be held at 12 noon May 29, 2011 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Burnaby BC.
