在家庭中他是父母无比骄傲和疼爱的儿子,在朋友中他是值得信赖、可以托付的人生伙伴.他朋友圈极其广泛,朋友众多且关系真挚，在他短暂的一生中,他用行动赢得了大家的尊重和喜爱.每一个认识他的人都会因为他的善良真诚所感动，爱子泽人突然离世后,是他众多挚友主动站出来,积极帮助我们处理后事,尽心尽力,不遗余力.这份深情厚谊也让我们父母万分感动!也深深感受到儿子在朋友的心目中的分量.我们为他拥有这样一群知心好友感到无比欣慰与骄傲!在此作为父母我们对所有朋友表示最真挚的感谢和最深的敬意!

In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Son, Zeren Chen

Zeren was born on March 18, 1993. From a young age, he was remarkably intelligent, graceful, and strikingly handsome. But beyond his outward charm, Zeren possessed a kind, sincere, and unwavering heart. He was a man of integrity and generosity—always honest, warm-hearted, and willing to help others. To those around him, he was a source of light and warmth.

Within our family, he was the pride and joy of his parents—deeply loved, cherished, and admired. Among his friends, he was someone you could always trust—a true companion for life. He built a wide circle of friendships, each one sincere and meaningful. In his brief yet radiant life, he earned the respect and affection of everyone he met through his actions, not just his words.

After Zeren’s sudden passing, many of his dearest friends stepped forward without hesitation to help us through the most difficult days. They gave their time, their energy, and their hearts to ensure his final journey was filled with love and dignity. As parents, we are profoundly touched by this outpouring of support and friendship. It has shown us how deeply Zeren was loved, and how greatly he impacted those around him. We are forever grateful—and forever proud—that he was surrounded by such loyal and loving companions.

Although Zeren is no longer with us, his kindness, integrity, and brilliance will live on in our hearts. His life, though short, was full and meaningful—a rare and precious example of how to live with grace and purpose. He may have left this world, but his spirit and his love remain.

May our beloved Zeren Chen rest in peace in heaven. We believe he is still smiling, watching over all those he held dear.

Zeren是我第一个直男好朋友，我们有很多开心美好的回忆。是他让我从一个胆小内向的性格，变成一个开心外方、敢于做真的自己的我。是他在我一次次需要他的时候，他都可以随时变成我坚强的后盾，让我不管受到任何的伤害还有难过的时候，他都会稳稳地托住我。

虽然他不会直接跟我去表达，但每次我总感觉他在说：“有我在，放心，想干嘛就去干嘛，开心就好。”他总是用行动去表达他对身边人的爱，做的永远比说的多。

这几天我回忆了我们的过去，也从不同人口中了解了不同时期的你。你是一个多么暖心、善良、有爱且心思细腻的小男人。

越到后面，很多时候Zeren展示出来的他，都不是真正的他。他慢慢把自己封闭起来，怕他的真心再被伤害，所以变成一个看似有攻击性，但还是希望把爱他、喜欢他的人照顾得好好的人。

我们本该还有很多时间去制造更多美好的回忆，一起去探索一切我们没尝试过的东西，去不同的地方旅游玩耍，还有蹦各种音乐节，去享受生活。你却比我先去你的小天堂了。

“我恨你”把我们就这样抛弃了，瞬间在温哥华少了非常非常多的东西。但你放心，不止我会把你爱的爸爸妈妈照顾好，我们大家都会把你的爸爸妈妈当成自己的爸爸妈妈，陪伴在他们左右。

所以你放心去天堂过自己真正想要的生活吧。我会永远记住你给我带来的欢乐感、幸福感还有安全感。谢谢你，有你这个朋友，我很幸运。

Dearest Friend Zeren Chen

Zeren was my first straight male friend. We had so many happy and beautiful memories. It was him who helped me change from a timid, introverted person to someone cheerful, outgoing, and brave enough to be my true self. Every time I needed him, he was always there as my strong support. No matter what kind of hurt or sadness I went through, he would always hold me up steadily.

Although he never expressed himself directly, I always felt like he was saying, “I’m here. Don’t worry. Do whatever you want to do. As long as you’re happy.” He always showed his love for the people around him through actions—he always did more than he said.

These past few days, I’ve been reminiscing about our past and learning more about different stages of your life from different people. You were such a warm, kind, loving, and thoughtful “little man.”

Later on, many times the Zeren that others saw wasn’t the real him. He slowly closed himself off, afraid that his sincerity would get hurt again. So he became someone who looked aggressive on the outside, but still wanted to take good care of the people he loved and liked.

We were supposed to have so much more time to create more beautiful memories, to explore all the things we hadn’t tried, to travel to different places, have fun, go to all kinds of music festivals, and enjoy life. But you went to your little paradise before I did.

“I hate you” for abandoning us just like that. Suddenly, Vancouver lost so, so many things. But don’t worry—not just me, all of us will take care of your beloved dad and mom. We will treat them as our own and stay by their side.

So rest assured and go live the life you truly want in heaven. I will always remember the joy, the happiness, and the sense of safety you brought me.

True friend and great partner, Zeren Chen

Zeren was a genuinely kind and straightforward friend. Many people’s first impression of him was his warmth and friendliness. If you ever had a meal with him, your plate surely held something he had served you himself—he always took care of others in quiet, thoughtful ways.

Zeren had many interests. He loved watching classic films, and his favorite director was Stanley Kubrick. A Clockwork Orange was one of his all-time favorite movies. He loved reading, with one of his favorite books being The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene. He was also deeply fascinated by psychology, politics, history, and philosophy. Every conversation with him was a chance to learn something new—he loved to share insights, and he never hesitated to recommend challenging and thought-provoking books to his friends.

And let us not forget—this young man, whose features seemed sculpted like a work of art, radiated not only outer beauty but also the depth of his spirit. His smile and grace are forever etched in our hearts.

Though Zeren has left us, his kindness, honesty, and inner light will continue to shine in our lives. His short yet fulfilled life was a rare and precious example of living with purpose and heart. He may be gone, but his spirit and love will always remain with us.
