

Donald Scott Ferguson, 77, of Burnet, Texas passed away at his home following a brief illness on Friday, August 31, 2012. Scott was born on August 23, 1935 in Belgrade, Missouri to Earl D. Ferguson, father; and Frances (Adams) Ferguson, mother, both of whom preceded him in death.
Scott enjoyed a lengthy career of 40 plus years working in the Petroleum Chemical Industry. His work led him to many travels and adventures throughout the U.S.A, Canada, Mexico, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. He resided for 13 years in Singapore and 2 years in Abu Dhabi.
His love of family, his dogs, Sam, Kai, and Blanco, gardening, feeding wildlife, writings on numerous historical events, and, keeping in touch with a multitude of lifelong friends and associates filled his world since his retirement in 2000. Scott was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his son, Donald Scott Ferguson, Jr., his wife Lisa, and grandchildren Drew, Taylor, and Riley of Louisville, KY, his daughters; Michelle Ferguson of Burnet, TX, Allyson Brown, her husband Nathan, and grandchildren Justin, Jacob, and Chris of Burnet, TX., lifelong friend Phyllis Ferguson of Burnet, TX, and his brother Les Ferguson and wife Sharon, of Bella Vista, AR. and nieces Shawn Dyson of Champaign, IL, and Michelle Bulette of Dallas, TX.
Cremation arrangements are by Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet, TX.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at Scott's birthplace in Belgrade, MO. at a later date.
