Elizabeth Karen Mullen

Lizz passed away peacefully at home after a long illness. Lizz is survived by her children Jessica Mullen (and wife Kelly), Kerri Thompson (and husband Mark), Michael Mullen (and wife Liz) and Kelly Nicholson (and husband Andrew), her four grandchildren, her sister Ann and brother Doug.

She was preceded in death by her mother Joy, her father Forrest, and husband John.

Lizz was a wonderful sister, daughter, mother, and companion. She grew up in Grayslake, Illinois, where she was beloved by countless friends and admirers. Lizz moved to Texas in 2005 with her husband and daughter, where she grew her circle of friends even wider in her typical way: playing tennis. She played in Horseshoe Bay, Marble Falls, and Burnet, always bringing her best to the court with dedication and enthusiasm. Lizz was fun-loving yet down to earth, a quick-witted, voracious reader, and a hopelessly devoted animal lover. She was a naturally gifted artist and had a magic touch with plants. Her sensitive heart and playful smile uplifted the lives of many.

The memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd at 1pm at Clements-Wilcox in Burnet.
