Jim worked for Brown and Root for 27 years in the Safety Department, spending the last 6 his work years in Holland and England. He traveled the world several times stopping in the Middle East, Africa, Far East, and South America. He retired at age 62 to the Council Creek area of Lake Buchanan where he and his wife Laurine lived until moving to town into assisted living. Jim attended the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Burnet.
Jim is survived by his son James Wayne “Jimmy” Everett and his wife Ramona Lee “Mona”. Jim also had 3 brothers and 3 sisters who have all preceded him in death.
A memorial service in memory of Jim will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 20, 2013 in the Chapel of Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet. Condolences to the family may be offered to www.clementswilcoxburnet.com.
