James Arthur Laidler, age 85, was requested to return home by GOD on Thursday, February 13, 2020. James was born August 8, 1934 in Dryden, Michigan to Merle and Harold Laidler. He lived in Lapeer, Michigan most of his life before settling in Burnet, Texas after retirement. He was a Military Veteran of the Korean War. He worked at General Motors in Flint, Michigan as a skilled tradesman until retiring in 1998. Survived by his wife Peg of 63 years, three sons Jamie, Brian and Tracy. Brothers Keith, Jerry, Paul and sister Belva. Proceeded in death by son Dana, daughter Valerie, brother Delmar and sister Beverly. Jim leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on February 22, 2020 at the Eastlake Fellowship Church in Burnet, Texas. Relatives and friends are welcome. In lieu of floral arrangements, contributions may be made to one of his most valued charities, the Wounded Warrior Project. Care has been entrusted to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet.
