Janice Jeanne (Hoeft) Warren, 77, lived in Burnet, TX for the past 13 years. She died peacefully at home after a recent diagnosis of multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer. Janice and her identical twin sister, Janet, were born in Minneapolis, MN to Harry and Helen (Galligan) Hoeft. She graduated from South High School. She belonged to a group of women called the Kay-Debs who have continued to gather regularly for over 59 years.
Janice married Leo Warren in 1959 and they initially resided in Minneapolis, then Eagan for 8 years, and then Woodbury, MN for over 30 years. They had 5 children, Natalie, Patrick, Michael, Mary and Joseph, and were involved in many activities with the children, Guardian Angels Church, and the community. Janice was a mother and homemaker for many years and was then employed by the State of Minnesota in the Department of Transportation and Department of Administration. She retired in 1996.
Janice and Leo have been members of the Airstream Club in which they travelled and met many good friends. They retired to Burnet, TX and have resided there for the past 13 years, but summered in MN. They attend Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. During the past 3 months there have been health challenges in the family and many wonderful neighbors, church members, and other friends and relative have provided much appreciated assistance.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 5pm followed by prayer service and rosary at 7 pm, which will be officiated by Father Alphonse of Our Mother of Sorrows, at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 E Polk, Burnet, TX, 512-756-2222.
A visitation will also take place on Monday, May 2nd at Mueller Mortuary Parkway Chapel St. Paul, MN, from 4-8 pm. Visitation will be at 10 am Tuesday, May 3rd at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 8260 Hudson Blvd., Oakdale, MN. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial will be at Guardian Angels Catholic Church Cemetery immediately after. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Animal Humane Society or Hearing Loss Association of America.
