Janie Lou Rollins

She graduated from William B Travis High School in Austin, Texas in 1961.

Janie married the love of her life, Grady Joe Rollins on November 9, 1963. They spent the next 58 years together in Liberty Hill, Texas.

Janie spent most of her early adult years working in the banking industry. She worked in the proofing department at the Bank of Hills for over 17 years.

After retiring from banking, Janie spent many years putting her creativity to work at Fantasia Flowers in Liberty Hill, Texas. Her specialties were flower arrangements and mum making.

Janie was an amazing “Granny” to all her grandchildren and their childhood friends. She helped raise them in a loving, caring, environment. And no one will ever forget her stocked freezer full of goodies and snacks!

In her free time, Janie enjoyed sewing, reading, watching old westerns and hallmark movies. She was an amazing seamstress who could sew just about anything! Janie blessed many family members and friends with wedding dresses, work wear, and Halloween costumes over the years. Janie also had a special place in her heart for animals, she especially loved spoiling her dogs Bentley, Dante, and Coco.

She was preceded in death by her parents L.F and Mary Townsend; her husband, Grady Rollins; her son, Robert Rollins; and her grandson, Louis Hernandez.

Survivors include her sister and brother-n-law, Beth and Tim Cook of Liberty Hill TX, Mary Lou and Eddie Hernandez of Liberty Hill, TX; Dennis and Wendy Rollins of Granite Shoals, TX; Grandchildren: Amanda Sanchez, Katie LaComb, James Rollins, Hope Herrin, and Cole Rollins. Great grandchildren: Jesse Hernandez, Mason Hernandez, Maddison Hernandez, Selina Culp, Ema Culp, Mya Sanchez, Gabriella Sanchez, Taylor Rollins and Presley Herrin. She also is survived by countless other cousins, nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Hernandez, Hervey Sanchez, Cody LaComb, James Rollins, Jesse Hernandez, Cole Rollins and Mason Hernandez.

Graveside services will be on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Liberty Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet, Texas.
