She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Manuel Solis and Joe Solis.
Janie is survived by daughter Norma Solis Mendoza and husband Javier of Bertram, sisters Connie Escamilla of Comanche, TX and Linda Myers of Temple; brothers Lupe Solis and wife Antonia of Florence, Albert Solis, Sr. of Bertram, Domingo Solis and wife Virginia of Utah, Jessie Solis and wife Bertha of Bertram, and Fred Solis and wife Eva of Round Rock, grandchildren Tyler Solis and Emilio Mendoza. Janie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She loved going to church, Janie was a member of the Bertram Church of Christ, and she also loved playing bingo and softball.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday October 29, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Bertram Church of Christ.
