Jerry Noah blessed us with his presence for 83 years. He was born in Burnet on August 8, 1939, the oldest of five children to parents Wilbert "Webb" Noah and Ethel Mae (Hays) Noah. He passed away on October 15, 2022.
Jerry lived most of his life in Bertram. He had several trades, such as road crew and cedar chopper but he best loved being a carpenter and building houses. He loved motorcycles and restoring cars. He loved softball and playing with the Armadillos. The team was the best around. Jerry played also in the Burnet City league softball. His nickname was “The Legend”.
He and Patsy Antoniette Hart began their 60-year marriage in Bertram on July 24, 1962. Jerry adored and cherished Pat and were the perfect example of what love and commitment should be. He and Pat loved to travel and they called it “going riding”. Together they traveled to a lot of the U.S. One of his greatest loves was those grandbabies and great grandbabies earning him the nickname “Pappy” by all. He always had a smile and lit up the room anytime he was around.
Jerry and Pat have two children, Kimberly Noah Thomas and husband Jeff of Burnet and Kenneth Wayne Noah and wife Rebecca of Bertram. Also grandchildren Robyn Everett and husband Jay, Raven Proctor and husband Bradly, Tori Kuhn and husband Cory, Jax Noah, and bonus grandsons Jacob and Sam Thomas. Great grandchildren are Gracelyn, Coralyn, Addison, McKenley, Aubree, Maci, Anderson, Daisy, Maverick, Bowen, and Axel. Also surviving is his brother Carlus Doyle Noah of Burnet and sisters Loretta Jane Phillips of Bertram, Linda Carol McCurry of Burnet and Sarah Adene Shannon of Bertram. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives survive Jerry and will miss him.
He made us laugh, now he makes us cry…His cherished memories are now easy for him to recall, they’ve been out of his grasp for so long. So Pappy…Remember how much we love you!.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 19 at the Bear Creek Cemetery with Reverend Gordon Bergstrom officiating.
