Kenneth graduated from Steven F. Austin High School in 1954 and spent one year at Baylor University before entering the U.S. Army.
He worked for the Insurance Company of North America (INA) which later changed its name to CIGNA, for 37 years as an Insurance Premium Auditor.
Kenneth is survived by his wonderful wife of 19 years & 2 months, E. Jean (Jeannie) Snowden, a beautiful sweet spirited lady, truly my gift from God during troubled times. Thank you Lord for Jeannie! Four sisters and one brother. My sisters are Wandean(Dean) Sandefur of Elgin, TX, Carol Lynn Mitchell of Cedar Park, TX, Renette Cranford of Asheboro, N.C. & Cindy Lou Mount of Pflugerville, TX., and one brother Glen Harvey Snowden who preceded him in death. Kenneth also has two children, Marla Sanders of Burnet, TX and son Monty Ray Snowden of Arlington, TX, six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a Christian and chose to be Baptist, a Deacon of the First Baptist Church in Burnet, TX, where he had many, many extended family and friends. Kenneth treasured his years of volunteer service with the Texas Baptist Men Retiree Builders, building for the “Glory of God.” He also treasured the volunteer years with the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief units in Texas, having worked with several different units serving meals, doing chainsaw work, blue tarp covering of roofs, cleaning mud from residences, during natural disasters in and around Texas. Kenneth also had many extended family and friends with these groups!
Now it is time for me to move into the Mansion Jesus promised in John14:1-3. There is a way for you to be there too! It is found in verse 6, When Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life no one comes to the father except through me.”
What prevents you from accepting Jesus as your personal Savior right now? It means eternal life in Heaven with the Lord! Thank you Jesus, Amen!
