Margaret Ann Hornsby, a lifelong resident of Burnet, Texas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on October 3, 2024. Born on September 10, 1947, to Gladys and Bert Debo, Margaret spent her life embodying the values of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community.
On June 25, 1967, she married the love of her life, Jim Hornsby, and together they built a beautiful life, raising six children: James Hornsby, Melissa Selvera, Rebecca Sveda, Leah Granados, Daniel Hornsby, and Jonathan Hornsby. Her legacy lives on through her children and the multitude of grandchildren she adored, each of whom she loved unconditionally.
Margaret’s life was filled with the joy of family and the deep connections she maintained with everyone around her. She was a source of strength and comfort to those who knew her, always offering a listening ear, a warm smile, and wise words. She will be remembered for her unwavering support, her dedication to her loved ones, and the warmth that she brought to everyone who crossed her path.
She will be deeply missed by her husband Jim, their children, grandchildren, and the many friends and family members whose lives she touched over the years. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be held for family and friends on October 11, 2024 at 11 am at Post Mountain Cemetery with a visitation at Clément's Wilcox Funeral Home on October 10, 2024 from 5-8 pm.
