Norene Everett Guess

Norene Everett Guess, age 84, of Burnet, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021. Norene was born September 2, 1936 in Burnet County and graduated from Bertram High School in 1955. She lived in many parts of Texas but always stayed in touch with her Bertram friends.

After high school, Norene attended business school in Austin. She married Bill Guess of Bertram in 1957. She worked as a secretary at schools and banks, but she was always happiest at home with her family. She held a deep love for her parents R.T. and Snooks Everett and her brother Robert Everett. She and Bill raised a family with four children. She spent her last twenty years in a home built with her brother's hands on land she bought from her father.

Norene was preceded in death by her husband Billy Frank Guess, sons William Scott Guess and Robert Frank Guess, and her parents R.T. and Snooks Everett.

She is survived by her son Michael Glen Guess and wife Melissa of Shreveport, LA; daughter Sharon Lea Guess Wise and husband Jack of Gatesville, TX; brother Robert Everett and wife Carolyn of Breckenridge, TX; sister-in-law Linda Kay Guess of Burnet; Grandchildren: Jennifer Guess and fiancé Michael Weileder of Shreveport; Tara Lipson and husband Adam of Shreveport; Justin Wise and wife Lauren, Brian Wise and wife Katie, Tyler Wise and wife Hailey, all of Gatesville, TX; and eight great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held Monday, May 17, from 5:00 to 7:00 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 18 at 10:00 in the chapel at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet. Burial will follow in Bear Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Wise, Brian Wise, Tyler Wise, Steve Everett, Mark Everett, and Randy Hendrix.
