Pat Brazil Mahaffey passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019. She was born June 22, 1929, in Carrizo Springs, Texas to William Lee Brazil and Frances May (Ellis) Brazil, and had been a resident of the Silver Creek community near Burnet for many years.
Pat was a graduate of Southwestern University in May of 1950 with a degree in home economics. She taught at Lometa High School until she married the love of her life, Aubrey Glenn Mahaffey, on September 22, 1951.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Dr. Andrew Glenn Mahaffey and wife Linda of Georgetown, Texas, Richard Steven Mahaffey and wife Melinda of Dallas, Texas, and Russel Brian Mahaffey and wife Lucy of Highland Village, Texas. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Jessica, Drew, Katelynn, Cameron, Aubrey and Brian, and 5 great-grandchildren, Tripp, Ellis, Lola, Joseph and Emilia, and her sister Billye Green. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Aubrey Glenn Mahaffey.
If she had her lipstick on, she was ready to go! Never to miss an adventure.
Visitation will be Tuesday November 19, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet. Graveside services will be held Wednesday November 20, 2019 11:00 am at High Valley Cemetery in San Saba.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Angel House Soup Kitchen at the Austin Baptist Chapel in Austin, Texas; austinbaptistchapel.com. Pat loved to spend time volunteering with her friends at Angel House.
