Reida Kay Johnson

Reida was born in Floydada,Texas and she grew up in Amarillo Tx.With her sister and 5 brothers. This is where she met her life long friend Karen Frosch where they were quite the feisty couple together.

Reida and Karen worked together at Dinos Drive in as teenagers where She Met her now husband Johnny Johnson. They married March 1st, 1974, in New Mexico, they were married 50 years.

Their love was one of a kind, it was always each other no matter what. They had their first child Jimmy Dale July 19, 1975 who sadly passed at an early age she now gets to hold her baby boys in heaven. Followed by daughter Jennifer Dawn 47, Jackie Diane 45, Jason Dwayne Gained his wings at birth, Johnathan Drew 36, Johnna Denay 32.

Reida Kay loved her kids and husband dearly. She was so giving and always a person you could talk to. She loved her time at home with Johnny talking about life and listening to their favorite music together. They were truly devoted to each other, forever best friends.

“Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.” -Psalm 71:20-21

Reida Kay is survived by her mother, Helen Margene Kangas, her brothers Dennis Richardson, Dale Richardson, loving husband Johnny, her three daughters Jennifer Johnson, Jackie Bernal- spouse Joel Bernal, Johnna Johnson and son Johnathan Johnson- spouse Angela Johnson, Seven Grandchildren Gabby Robles, Devin Bernal, John Quintero, Jacob Bernal, Courtney Quintero, Andruw Bernal, Kason Johnson, Nine great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends!

Her family will be holding a private gathering at the home. Later, at her request, her ashes will be scattered.
