

Shirley Marie Theisen, formerly Shiflett, age 64, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away on February 5, 2026. She was born on August 12, 1961, in Richmond, Virginia, and spent most of her life in Mechanicsville, Virginia, before later moving to Kingsland, Texas, where she and Robert made their home.
Shirley is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Theisen; her sister, Sharon Hays (Marty); her brother, Dennis Shiflett; many beloved nieces and nephews; and her cherished fur babies, Tini and Mabel, who brought her constant joy and companionship. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Virginia Shiflett and Dennis Shiflett; her sisters, Susie Woodson and Mary Gayle Goodwin.
Shirley graduated from Lee-Davis High School and dedicated 33 years of her professional life to Altria, where she served as an IT Manager. Her career was marked by commitment, intelligence, and leadership, earning the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
A devout follower of Jesus, Shirley’s faith was central to her life. She was an active member of Hill Country Fellowship, where she found deep community and purpose. Shirley was also deeply engaged in the Highland Lakes community, serving as Vice President of the Highland Lakes Senior Center and as a long-standing member of the Legends Social Committee.
Shirley had a special love for Mahjongg, which became more than a pastime. It was a way she connected people and served others. With a passion for fundraising and helping worthy causes, she regularly organized Mahjongg tournaments to support charitable efforts. Shirley and Robert spent many cherished hours traveling together in their RV, creating memories, sharing adventures, and enjoying the journey side by side.
Memorial services will be held as follows. A viewing will take place at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet on Monday, February 16, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The memorial service will be held at Hill Country Fellowship Church on Tuesday, February 17, with a viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. A reception will be held immediately afterward at the church.

Shirley will be remembered for her faith, her servant’s heart, her leadership, and her ability to turn community into family. She touched many lives, and her legacy of kindness, service, and devotion will live on.
