So sorry to hear of your loss, Tim Ross family!  We send our deepest sympathy & prayers!  Tim worked for us as a paint contractor on our custom homes in Austin from 1990s to early 2000s!  We were thinking about him & looked online & unfortunately found this sad news!  We know Tim was a great family man, honorable & an ethical in all he did!  From David & Regina Polston

15 years ago, our lives were rich and by having brand new neighbors, Tim and Lou Ann Ross. Tim was a truly inspirational man with his gift to touch anything that may or may not be working  and make it better. Tim always had a can-do attitude and was so talented. In many ways. He had an extremely successful professional painting business. His eye for perfection was impeccable. As a neighbor, we would exchange stories or help each other out when needed, whether it was issues with cows or electrical issues or equipment. Tim and Lou Ann were lucky enough to have each other for 60+ years which goes without saying is an attribute to both of them in their marriage. My wife and I will miss Tim dearly and continue to pray for strength for Lou Ann in this loss. May God bless the family dearly

Tim, (Pop) we will miss you. You were one of the hardest working men I’ve ever known! I will miss our phone calls. I never saw a piece of equipment he couldn’t operate, he was right at home in a tractor.  He loved his family and friends. I  have many great memories that included Pop, at the coast fishing and in the outdoors. Here is one of my favorites. Many weekends were spent in South Texas. We usually would work at the ranch and stay in town at night. Once Kimball had the barn built we slept in the barn at night. One trip was planned for late December, and after looking at the weather, temperatures were going to be in the low 20’s at night. We packed for cold weather. The first night when we got ready for bed Tim had packed several sleeping bags and a down filled comforter. After he rolled up in all that, all you could see of Tim was his nose. We ran a generator outside at night for light and recharging tools until it ran out of gas.  We would take turns getting up the next morning, fill generator with fuel start it, make coffee and get on with our day. When Tim went to bed. He told us boys, I will fuel the generator next trip, the only way I’m getting out of bed is if you pull me out. Tim said how in the —— did I let yall talk me into this ——

Pops , as all family knew him, was  never shortly of energy or enthusiasm. He always looked at the brighter side of what life throws at us all. Pops always loved being outdoors.  My fondest memories was playing wheres pops after a hard day at the ranch filling feeders & working on what needed fixed. We would set him up on the tractor & brush hog in the morning. We’d load him down with some snacks & something to drink and let him explore the ranch with the largest smile on his face. We’d check on him throughout the day while filling feeders while he’d tell us he’s fine go on about our business. He thoroughly enjoyed working hard and seeing his accomplishments once finished. With the vast area the ranch encompassed there was no telling where he’d end up once the sun went down. My favorite part of the day was going to find pops to grill a steak in the evening with family & friends. We would all gather around the grill & visit about the ranch & what we envisioned it growing into & the work completed so far. You could tell he couldn’t wait to get back on that tractor to mow again tomorrow. Pops was one of the hardest workers I’d ever known & took tremendous pride in his work. What I wouldn’t give to put him on that tractor one more time, drive the ranch with him one more time, or burn a steak one more time with him & friends. The world lost a wonderful soul & great man. I find myself depressed in thinking God always picks the best of us to take first but find comfort in knowing he was needed for a greater purpose in Heaven. I will see you & Kimbal again one day but know yall will be watching over us all until that time comes. We are never guaranteed tomorrow so enjoy every moment you can with friends & family while living life to the fullest. You will be missed my friend 💙
