

Reverend Arthur Eugene Karabats, 72, of Burney and Half Moon Bay, California, returned to his heavenly home on February 20, 2015. He was born July 11, 1942 to Christopher and Mildred Karabats in Boston, Massachusetts. On February 3, 1973 he married Janis Tussey in Verde, Nevada. Arthur was a loved servant of God who focused his life on bringing the lost and hurting to Christ.
Beloved husband of Janis of Burney and Half Moon Bay, California; loving father of Chris (Rachel) Karabats of Caro, Michigan, and Mary (Scott) Grott of Wildwood, Missouri; loving grandfather of Kristin, Steven, and Eva; loving brother to Christopher Karabats, Stanley Karabats, Larry Karabats, and Valerie Dunn; dear uncle to many nieces, nephews, friend and pastor to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; and father-in-law.
Arthur was known as Reverend Art, or most recently as simply Preacher. A man of many hats, he has been ex-convict, commercial fisherman, and founder and owner of Half Moon Bay Alarm. He was known as a hard but faithful man.
A private ceremony is scheduled on March 31st, 2015.
