Beverly Ann Sullivan passed away peacefully at her home in Burney, California, on July 7, 2015, after a brief illness. She was born in Chico, California on February 1, 1942 to Madeline and Frasier Raymond. In 1946 Beverly moved to Round Mountain with her mother and step-father, Gilbert M. Davidson. She married Larry Sullivan on March 23, 1963, having been introduced to him by her long-time childhood friend, Connie Newport and her husband, Jerry, who had served with Larry on the Coral Sea; they became best friends for life. Shortly after, they moved to Burney, where they would raise two sons, Michael and Scott.
Beverly was preceded in death by her son Michael and husband Larry. She is survived by her son, Scott, sisters, Grace Robinson of Hayfork, CA, Lorene Davidson of Round Mountain, brother Dan Wilcox of Washington state, daughter-in-law Monica Sullivan, several nieces and nephews and many friends. She often referred to Tom Asher and his children as her other "son and "grandchildren".
Beverly loved being a mother and housewife and was an involved community member and lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Beverly was very proud of her Pit River heritage, being the great great-granddaughter of Susan Suthermire, the first documented Madesi Band Pit River Indian on record.
She will be greatly missed by all who know and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the V.F.W. Hall in Burney on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
