Joan Ellen Brock

She was preceded in death by her parents Allen and Janet Bronsink. Joan is survived by her children J. Allen (Heidi) Brock, Sara (Rick) Brock, and Crystal (Kyle) Ratering; grandchildren Canyen Veldhouse and Maya Ellens; her special little friend, Ellie girl; sisters Linda Danforth, Judy (Larry) Yugovich, and Joyce (Tim) Mulder.

Joan spent early motherhood at home with her children and later became a working single mom. Her lifelong career was in banking and included over 20 years at Byron Center State Bank where she concluded as an operations lead.

She attended Lifeline Community Church for many years where she loved volunteering, especially with children. She had a green thumb and loved gardening and caring for her houseplants.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hope Unexpected.

A time of visitation will take place 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2026, followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m., at Lifeline Community Church (Door 8), 2929 Rogers Lane Ave. SW, Wyoming, Michigan 49509.
