Joyce Johnson (Townshend), age 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, January 18, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Johnson; son, Steve Johnson; sister, Patricia (Richard) VanderStel. She is survived by her children Laura (Clarke) Crump, Doug (Nella) Johnson, Nancy (Pat) Helmholdt, and Russ (Cheryl) Johnson; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Vermurlen; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Joyce was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her five children and many grandchildren. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went. Her love for the Lord was evident in all that she did.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Rush Creek Bible Church, 2334 76th St. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. A private family interment will take place at Winchester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rush Creek Bible Church.
