Michael L. Ebels, age 69 of Byron Center, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, December 14, 2022, following a courageous battle with Huntington’s Disease. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Luella Ebels and his father-in-law, Richard French. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Barbara; their children Heather (Michael) Goy, Holly (Matthew) Fisher, Geoffrey (Kimberly) Ebels; six grandchildren Addison and Jared Goy, Natalie and Justin Fisher, Gabrielle and Gavin Ebels; brother, Gary Ebels; mother-in-law, Gertrude French; in-laws Jim (Jane) French, David French, Marvin French, Dan (Jodi) French, and Ken (Pam) French; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Michael proudly served his country as a pilot in the United States Air Force and National Guard for 27 years and also retiring from Federal Aviation Administration. He was always an active member of the churches he attended, giving of his time and talents. Mike was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2022 at Rush Creek Bible Church, 2334 76th St. SW, Byron Center.
