Neal “Corny” Lubberts, age 86 of Byron Center, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 and was reunited exactly 20 years to the day with his beloved wife Lolus “Reb” Lubberts. He was also preceded in death by his parents Ted and Marie Lubberts and sister Jeanette (Roy) Parm, and brother-in-law Micky Moore. He is survived by his children John (Natalie) Lubberts, Jim (Brenda) Lubberts, Barb (Fred) Brown, Donna (Bud) Nardin, Diane Lubberts, David (Mandy) Lubberts; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Barbara (Darell) Cornette, Nancy (Raburn) Tate; brother-in-law, Jerry Moore; many nieces and nephews. Corny proudly served his country in the United States Army. He will be fondly remembered as being a selfless friend and caregiver, and a father figure to many more than his six children. The family will receive relatives and friends Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, 2067 - 84th St. SW, Byron Center, with graveside service held at 1:30 p.m. at Winchester Cemetery.
