Theora Dawn Allen

Allen-Theora Dawn Allen, nee Rhowmine 103, was welcomed into her Heavenly Home on October 15, 2020. Theora was born on April 2, 1917 in Wyoming, Michigan, to the late Glendell and Edna Rhowmine. Theora married her best friend, T. Edward Allen, who preceded her in death in 1994. Theora was also preceded in death by her brother, Roy Rhowmine and brother-in-law, Neil Cook. She leaves behind her daughter, Nancy (Joe) Steiner; son, Dean (Marcia) Allen; daughter, Viola (Derrick) Freeman; and sister-in-law Louita Martin. Also surviving are her grandchildren Joe (Tina) Sarber, Kim Graham, Justin (Danielle) Allen, Robin Baker, Carley Freeman, Nicholas Allen and Kaelee Allen; great-grandchildren Joe (Gentry) Sarber, Gary Sarber, Cody Miesen, Jordan (Kayla) Kreykes, Tyler Kreykes, Kennedy Allen, Grant Allen and Amir Allen; great-great-grandchildren Mia Sarber, Elijah Sarber, and Baily Sarber; nephew, Dale (Lillian) Rhowmine; and a multitude of “bonus” grandchildren - all of whom she loved dearly.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Oaks of Byron Center. The love and care you provided Theora was exceptional and she thought of you as her family.
A small service will be held at Mount Hope Memorial Gardens in Livonia, Michigan on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 2pm. For those that are in the Grand Rapids area and would like to say goodbye before Theora is moved to her final resting place, please join us at Cook Funeral Home, 4325 Prairie St. SW, Grandville (West building), from 9-10am on Monday, prior to the service in Livonia.
