With profound sadness, the family of Adria Ann Felton Harvey announces her passing on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Ann passed away peacefully at her home in Cambridge, Ontario at the age of 92, with her devoted husband of 67 years and constant companion, Dr. James Miln Harvey, by her side.
Born June 1, 1934 in Toronto, ON, Ann was a daughter of the late Jack Casper Felton and Winnifred Leila (Gentles) Felton.
Gregarious, generous, and endlessly energetic, Ann loved people and cherished being an active part of her community. For years, Ann served as a member of the Toronto Watercolour Society (TWS), Canadian Society of Artists (CSA), Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour (CSPWC), Studio 30, Colour and Form Society, Current Events Club, Trinity Anglican Church Altar Guild, and was a founding member of Money Movers. Ann also volunteered at, contributed to and exhibited her work, at many galleries in Toronto, Cambridge and Kitchener-Waterloo.
Ann loved spending summers at the family cottage on Lake Huron where she could let her brood of 5 run free.
She embraced life with enthusiasm and passion, rarely sitting still for long. A talented artist, painter, teacher, homemaker, gardener, traveller, cook, seamstress, and artisan, Ann found joy in creating, learning, and sharing her gifts with others. You could only find Ann sitting still while reading a book or working at her computer. Even then, she was likely to pause to add a brushstroke to a painting or stir a pot on the stove.
At the heart of it all, family and friends were Ann’s greatest passion. More than anything, she loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and friends. She delighted in bringing people together, filling her home with laughter, stories, conversation, and wonderful meals. Her warmth, generosity, and magnetic presence touched countless lives and will be deeply missed.
Ann is lovingly remembered by her husband, Dr. James Miln Harvey; her daughters, Wynn Harvey (Simon Lee) and Andrea (Eduard “Eddie”) Visser of Cambridge, Ontario; her sons, William “Will” (Marnie) Harvey of Toronto, Ontario, Dr. D.J. Miln Harvey (Kim Thompson) of Guelph, Ontario, and Andrew Harvey (Apple Lin) of Cambridge, Ontario; her grandchildren, John, William, Signy, Seamus, Dougall, Tai, AnDi, Max, and Tiaan; step-grandchild, Karima; great-grandchildren, Arthur and Marcus; her sister, Joan Huycke; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by her sisters, Germaine “Gerrie” Morris and Jacqueline “Jackie” Felton.
In accordance with Ann’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at the Galt Country Club, 750 Coronation Blvd, Cambridge, Ontario, on Sunday September 27, 2026 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann's memory may be made to The Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH) Foundation, or charity of your choice.
