Argyro Hristopoulos

Argyro Hristopoulos passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband Fotios Hristopoulos (1986) and three sisters. She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Dimitrios (Alice) Hristopoulos, Zoe (Bob) Holmes, seven grandchildren; Mariana (Dimitri), Fotini (John), Barbara, Georgeos, George (Jillian), Meghann (Tim), Bobby (Dayna) and nine great grandchildren; Anthoula, Aggeliki, George, Alice, Marcos, Molly, Zoe, Max, Aria (Argyro). She is also survived by her two brothers; Athanasios Siasios and Constantinos Siasios, many nieces, nephews, family and friends. A big thank you to the nurses, PSW, and all staff at Stirling Heights for their compassionate care and a special thank you to our dear friend, Fran Medeiros of Cambridge, who was more than a daughter to our mother! Visitation will take place at the Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650) on Thursday, February 22nd from 6 – 9 p.m. with Prayers said at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church (Hellenic Community Centre), 475 Park Road North, Brantford on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Burlington. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. We will never forget our beloved mom/yiayia. The woman whose smile would brighten anybody’s day. We will miss her constantly feeding our stomachs with her amazing homemade food, and our hearts with unconditional love. The strongest woman around, patient beyond belief, with the biggest heart.. how lucky are we to have had someone so special, that makes saying good bye so very difficult.
