Passed away peacefully at Sakura House Woodstock, on Saturday March 10, 2012 in her 89th year, surrounded by her loving family. Loving wife of Eric Vickers, and loving mother of Beth Merkel and her husband Richard of St. Jacobs, also survived by 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 16 great -great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Jane Garden, her son George, and 3 daughters ,Marie, Marilyn and Joan, brother Bob and sisters Margaret and Gertie. Betty was born in Mount Forest, Ontario The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home 96 St. Andrews St. Cambridge on Tuesday March 13, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 P. M. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday March 14, 2012 at 2 P. M. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association, or Sakura House would be appreciated by the family.
