It's May 30 th and I've only found out about Dana's passing today. My heart is just breaking for all of you. I know there's not much one can say.
Please know we all wish we knew earlier. Feeling so badly we were not there to show support.
My family has known the Bennett family forever. I've known Dana since we were babies. Dana was my fathers God Son. Such a special honor.  I am sure my Dad, George Coffin, and Dana are hanging out right about now in heaven.
A cute memory I have of Dana is when he played hockey in Ayr he needed an Ayr address and since he lived in Cambridge he asked me if he could use my address. Telling my Dad that one was pretty funny, since he was always quote strict. The thought of people thinking I was living with a boy! Let alone his own God Son.

I have only known Dana for a few years, but I always looked forward to his visits to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Even though we are business colleagues, Dana was more of a friend than colleague. He was always positive, easy going and made my day better. I can definitely say that all the staff at CKHA loved Dana, especially the OR. 
This news comes as a shock to all of us at GE and CKHA. I know that I will definitely miss him. Dana was truely a nice guy and I can say that my life is better for knowing him. May God embrace him and I know that he will always be looking down on you and your family with love.

I first met Dana years ago when our Operating Room was venturing into robotic surgery and over the years have connected through positions he held at ConMed. Dana was always a gentleman, a professional and a pleasure to meet when he came calling at our hospital. Dana always managed to speak of his pride for his wife and children while discussing business, obviously he had his priorities straight. This is very sad and shocking news indeed and I know many, many family and friends, co-workers and customers are going to miss him dearly. Dana really was - "a good guy" indeed!

Although I have never had the opportunity to meet Dana in person, the photos and the video paint a picture of a very spirited and wonderful man.  As the images move off the page, I can clearly see a man who loved his family and have given his sons a solid foundation of what is really important in life, while providing them with strength and bravery along with tenderness and compassion.
