Denise Valerie Morgan

Morgan, Denise Valerie (Weatherall), surrounded by family passed on Sunday, March 17, 2013, of pancreatic cancer at Lisaard House in Cambridge. She was 62. As owner of Rosalind’s in downtown Galt, Denise was dedicated to helping women feel good about themselves. She supported many charities including cancer, mental health, local women’s shelters, children charities, and many others.

Born in Galt, ON, Denise attended Glenview Park Secondary School, and then lived in Toronto, Gold River, BC, and Oakville, before returning to her hometown in 1988. She will be deeply missed by her three daughters: Trish Weatherall, Tara Campbell (Bryan), and Krista Andrushko; her husband, Leigh Morgan; three sisters: Cheryl Poole, Debbie Bedard and Rhonda Weatherall; four grandchildren: Tyler, Alexandra, Lillyann and Cole, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, and so many friends. Predeceased by parents Bill and Olive Weatherall, and husband Karpo Andrushko.

She was a positive light in the lives of her family and friends with her unlimited optimism and great sense of humour. She loved life, music and dancing, fashion, travel, and spending time with her family. She was a constant role model to her daughters on love, acceptance, work ethic, laughter and living in the moment. She was an involved gramma who held pyjama parties and played in the waves at Sauble Beach.

A special thank you to the doctors and nurses in Medical Day Care at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, to the nurses from Paramed (a BIG thank you to Abby King for the special personal care provided!) and to all the staff and volunteers at Lisaard House (Special thanks to Rosemary, Sue and Lucia).

The family will receive friends on Thursday March 21 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm,at Coutts Funeral Home 96 St. Andrews St. Cambridge. A memorial service will be held on Friday March 22, at 2 P. M. in the funeral home chapel. As expressions of sympathy donations to Lisaard House would be appreciated by the family.
