

Don was a lifelong resident of the Cambridge area.
He began working at the age of 15 for the Galt Brass as an after school job. A job that then turned into his livelihood for the next 47 years. Don’s real love was his part time job. His beef farm in Sheffield which he farmed for 12 years. In his retirement years his love of farming continued with his large garden, flower beds and lawn in which he took great pride.
Don will be missed by his children Dianne (Dave) Habel and Brian (Kim) Elliott. Proud grandpa to Melissa Elliott, Alexandra Elliott, Noah Elliott-Morris and Carson Habel and great-grandpa to Dominic Morris. He is predeceased by his parents Irene and George Elliott, along with his brothers: Gerald and Edward and sister Audrey.
Friends and family will be received at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650) on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 2-4pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cambridge Meals on Wheels or to the Cambridge and District Humane Society.
The family would like to thank Dr. Safdar and nurses Sandra and Bettie from the ICU at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for their compassion and care of their dad.
