Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the age of 77 at Innisfree House with loving family by her side. Loving partner to Walter “Wally” Schneider of 20 wonderful years together. Cherished mother to Patrick Ryan and Gary Gushue (Sue) and step-mother to Tania Schneider (Mike). Dear grandmother to Jennifer and Jordan, step-grandmother to Michael and Stephanie and great-grandmother to Delaney and Zoe. Beloved Aunt to Rick (Shirl), Betty (Harold), Donna (Doug), Peter, Raymond, Cookie (Darrell), Billy (Wendy), Rosemary and Cathy. Predeceased by her parents James and Mary Ellen Gushue, brothers: Peter and Jim, sisters: Violet and Mary and nephew Michael. Liz was happiest when gathered with her family and friends enjoying a meal and playing a game of poker. In keeping with Liz’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will take place on Friday, February 19, 2016 at St. Clements RC Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge at 11am. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge. A very special thank you to the staff and volunteers of Innisfree House for the compassionate care given to Liz. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Innisfree House in Liz’s memory.
