

Born on April 6, 1940, in Birch Grove, Nova Scotia, Ethel lived a life centered on love, family, and the simple joys that brought happiness to those around her.
Ethel will be forever loved and deeply missed by her daughter and best friend, Karen Schmidt (Bob); her son, Bradley White; her grandchildren, Jennifer Schmidt, Jeffery (Sarah) Schmidt, Jay (Maria) White, and Michael Paris; her great-grandchildren, Damon White and family, Emery White, Erica White, and Nico White; and by her brother, Wayne (Janet) Penny.
She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Margaret (Wareham) Penny; the father of her children, Placide White; her children, Wayne White, Doug White, George White, and Junior White; her daughter-in-law, Wendy White; her grandson, James White; her sisters, Mary Cole, Phoebe Buttons, Suzie Buchanan, Rita Gillette, and Vivian Clarke; and her brothers, Gilbert Penny, David "Shen" Penny, George Penny, and Jerry "Burr" Penny.
Ma found true joy in the simple things in life. She loved going for walks, spending time with her family, and playing with her grandchildren. One of her greatest joys was creating cherished memories with her “Missus”.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of St. Luke’s Place for the compassionate care they provided to Ethel over the past two years. A special thank you is extended to her one-to-one caregiver, Komal, whose kindness, dedication, and daily companionship meant so much to Ethel and her family.
Ethel’s memory will be held close in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, and her family is grateful for the time they were blessed to share with her.
As per Ethel's wishes, cremation has taken place. She will rest in the Rose Garden at Mount view Cemetery along with her family.
