Francesco Carnevale

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Francesco (Frank) Carnevale, who passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, at the age of 89, surrounded by his loving family at Lisaard House.

Frank was the beloved husband of Paolina for 62 wonderful years. He was the cherished father of Leo (Ceu), Marco (Ginny), Frank (Maryann), and Filomena (Shawn) and the proud Nonno of Emmett, Sarah, Rocco, Grace, Gianna, and Dominic.

He is lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Rafael and Filomena, and his only brother Vincenzo (Gemma).

Frank will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and Nonno who treasured every moment spent with his family. Frank’s favourite moments were with his entire family celebrating with good traditional Italian food, homemade wine and making memories of these special times together. Frank was proud of his accomplishments, starting out as a farmer in Italy and then spending over 40 years serving Cambridge as a restauranteur.

Beyond his work, Frank was a man of many passions. He loved listening to opera, particularly Luciano Pavarotti, cooking with his family, gardening and watching AS Roma of Serie A.

Family and friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St Andrews Street, Cambridge on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 11–2p.m. Interment will take place thereafter and all are welcome to attend.
