It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Devoted mother to Karen (Ron Slater), Billie Hilborn, Brian (Lorie Easton), Andrea (Tom Berry) and Adrienne. Loving grandmother to Janet, Jamie, Jason, Jordan, Lara, Rebecca, Erica, Rachel, Melanie, Lindsay, Katheryn and Alexis. Great-grandmother to eleven. Predeceased by William Hilborn (1949) and Earl Gillespie (2015). Georgette will also be lovingly remembered by many extended family and friends. Mom had an incredible zest for life. She loved playing cards, bingo, board games, Yahtzee, tap dancing, curling and singing French songs. Georgette was known for her butter tarts, date squares, gingerbread cake and fresh fruit pies. She was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Auburn Towers in the reception lounge (250 Lena Cres. Cambridge). In lieu of flowers donations to the Cambridge Shriner’s Club or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
