Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Monday March 4, 2013 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Patricia (Keeley) Hicks. Loving father of Peter of Cambridge. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren, his sister Carnie Jones of Cambridge. Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Nellie Jones, 2 brothers Ernie and Ken and 2 sisters Gwen Watson and Ruth Downhan. John was born in Galt on August 6, 1934, and has lived in Cambridge all his life. A member of the Salvation Army, and retired from Canadian General Tower. The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home 96 St. Andrews St. Cambridge on Wednesday March 6, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 P. M. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday March 7, 2013 at 2 P. M. Interment Mount View Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
